Our new site will soon be ready.

    Please be patient.

  • EQUINEC Focuses on
    Horse Welfare &

    A Sustainable Horse Environment

From the eighties onwards there has been an explosive increase in the number of horses in Scandinavia, but also by knowledge of, for example, exercise physiology and veterinary medicine. This should have meant that horses are much better off today than they actually are.

We have knowledge of what a horse needs to feel comfortable, but it is difficult to reach the ordinary horse owner or company.
With all the research and knowledge we have today, we are still seeing growing welfare disorders in the horses.

The ambition is for EQUINEC to implement and improve the research results that are published on an ongoing basis, and to inspire even more horse owners and horse companies to collaborate on how to profitably and sustainably manage horses and run horse companies today and in the future.

Since 2012, EQUINEC has focused on three fronts:
    1. Horse welfare and welfare disease prevention
    2. Sustainable Equine keeping

    3. Development of natural products as an alternative or complement to conventional medicine and treatments.
